Having regular checkups can only be beneficial as a child's development can be hindered by poor vision. This can possibly cause them to struggle whilst at school. Being able to detect any inadequacy at an early age may help to prevent poor sight.
Children’s eyes should be tested every year even if they are not wearing glasses.
Otherwise if they have been prescribed any glasses or suffer from an eye condition they may be advised to be seen every 3, 6 or 12 months.
